CHS Athletic Boosters
Minutes-November11, 2005
Meeting called to order at 7:02 pm.
In attendance: David Kawamoto, Judy Hill, Margaret Headrick,
Carol Scibetta, Tammy Bednar, Kayvon Ghaffari, Craig Ellegood, Holly
Hill, Paul Armstrong, Nancy Boyle.
Minutes from the October 10, 2005 meeting were approved.
Motion made by Margaret Headrick, seconded by Holly Hill.
Student Report: Kayvon Ghaffari reported that the Varsity
Athletes of the Month for October were Melanie Boyle (Field Hockey),
and Mrinal Bedi (Cross Country). The JV Athletes of the Season were
Ryan Ikeda (Water Polo), and Eva Dagman (Tennis).
Treasurer’s Report: Income of approximately $2392 and
expenses of $2300 leaves the balance in the account at $13,663.89.
Three new memberships have been received.
Cloth Report: Sales at last two football games plus new
orders were $800. Dave has ordered some items to replace stock sold.
May sell cloth during basketball tournament
(December 1-3). Waiting for approval to sell at home
basketball games.
VP Report: Food sales totaled $926.35 at Homecoming and $320
at Senior Night.
Athletic Report: Winter sports teams all have coaching staff.
Still need assistant Track and Field coaches, Badminton coaches, and a
coach for JV boys tennis.
President’s Report:
*Flier to go out in the next school newsletter concerning the
Golf Tournament on April 17, 2006.
*Tournament Update---Dave still needs help with the silent
auction and the raffle.
-Judy will oversee a list of local businesses which we can
approach for donations.
-Mercy will handle e-mail contacts.
-Gary Blake will help with corporate contacts.
-Target is 50-100 golfers.
-Cost will be $70 for golf, $30 for dinner. Tickets will be
$150 so we make $50 for each ticket sold.
-Check in at 10:30 am, start time is noon, and shifts for
helpers will start at 10:30 am, noon, and 4 or 5 pm.
*Thank you letter to be written and sent to new members.
*Fall Sports Awards on November 17. Boosters will provide
refreshments.
