Minutes from the 9/11/06 meeting were
approved as written. Motion made by Shelley Mossman and seconded
by Carol Scibetta.
No student report.
Treasurer’s Report: Income reported
of $1,500.00 from football barbecues. Expenditures of $550.00 for
barbecue supplies also reported. Balance on hand of $12,117.88.
The preliminary budget will be
discussed and approved next month. Treasurer’s report
approved. Motion made by
Margaret Headrick and seconded by Shelley Mossman.
Cloth Report: Maroon sweatshirts and
grey embroidered sweatshirts have been ordered with the $1000 allotted
in
September. Income reported of $770.00 from sweatshirts
purchased by baseball last year. There was additional income of $614.00
from cloth sold at Back-to-School Night. Carol
Scibetta is taking on the cloth responsibilities and will meet with the
vendor soon to explore more options. A motion was made
to allocate an additional $1,000.00 towards the purchase of new
clothing items. The motion was made by Judy Hill and seconded
by Margaret Headrick, and passed.
Athletic Report: The first 6-week
grading period is over, and grades will be checked.
The local cable channel (15)
will be televising a few athletic events here, including the Homecoming
game, and a
basketball, soccer, softball and water polo game.
Fall Sports Awards will be on
November 21. The Boosters have permission to have a barbecue that
night prior to the
event.
October 27 is Homecoming. The game times have been changed to
4:45 pm and 7 pm.
Coaches’ Wish List: A new request
from Girls’ Softball was received. Motion made by Carol Scibetta
and seconded by Judy Hill to allocate $387.97 to the softball team for
new pants
and socks. This was a carryover item from the wish list fund from the
2005-2006 school year. The motion passed.
