Minutes
June 5, 2006
The meeting was called to order at 7:25 pm.
In attendance: David Kawamoto,
Hollis Hill, Judy Hill, Judy
Namanny, Carol Scibetta, Tammy Bednar, Paul
Armstrong,
Norma La Brie, Nancy Boyle.
Dave Kawamoto opened the meeting by
expressing much appreciation to
Judy Namanny for all of her involvement in
athletics at CHS and wishing
her well in her retirement. She was presented with a gift
from the Boosters.
Minutes: The minutes from the
5/8 meeting were approved.
Motion made by Carol Scibetta and seconded by Tammy Bednar.
Treasurer’s Report: Judy Hill
reported that although the balance in the
Boosters’ account as of 6/5/06 is $11,280.00,
$4,025 of that amount is
money already allocated but not yet paid out and $2,000 will be carried
over to next year.
This leaves $5,255 plus another $2,300 still
to come in from the golf tournament which can be allocated for items
from the Coaches’ wish lists. Judy also
reported that the Boosters will not prepare a bid to do the concessions
at the
Tournament of Bands this year.
Athletic Report: Judy Namanny will
donate the remaining blankets from
the Learning Center fund-raiser to the Boosters, to be sold along
with
other cloth items next year.
President’s Report: Dave
Kawamoto presented a list of the
requests received via the Coaches’ Wish Lists. After much
discussion, the Boosters voted to allocate funds as follows:
Tennis: $685 for a
Stringing Machine
Football:
$757.37 for new JV uniforms
Wrestling:
$784.26 for warm-up jackets
Aquatics: $278 for
medicine balls and stretch cords
Track and Field:
$925 for new high jump standards
and a launch pad for jumpers
Baseball: $1,164
for an L-screen, a pitcher
protection L-screen and 6’x12’ synthetic turf
The
total allocated thus far is $4,759.
Additional allocations to Softball and Field Hockey to be considered at
the next
meeting after all funds from the Golf Tournament are
actually
deposited into the Boosters’ account.
Nominations for Officers for the
2006-2007 school
year tabled until meeting on 8/14.
